Maguire calls for traffic calming measures at Pedestrian Crossing on Cartron Hill

Cllr. Sinéad Maguire has called on Sligo County Council to upgrade the pedestrian crossing on Cartron Hill.

Cllr. Maguire said, “Residents are experiencing speeding traffic through the area which is proving dangerous to pedestrians. I am calling on the Council to examine the road in question, to upgrade the pedestrian crossing as people report drivers are not observing it, and to erect speed signs to reduce speed.  I have advised the Council engineer of the danger points where action needs to be taken.”
